Boating
Beautiful Okanagan Lake is the center of the Okanagan Valley, British Columbia. The lake stretches from Penticton in the south to Vernon in the north, with Kelowna in the middle. It stretches approximately 169 kms, making it ideal for boaters, water skiers and parasailers.
Along the shores of Lake Okanagan you can find many residences, and usually behind them are either orchards or vineyards. Apples, peaches, cherries, and many varieties of grapes are successfully harvested each autumn.
Other great recreational lakes to explore along Hwy 97 are Duck Lake, Wood Lake and Kalmalka Lake, all less than 15 minutes from Coral Beach.

With an abundance of golf courses in Kelowna or Vernon, Coral Beach is the perfect holiday location as it serves the midpoint between the two cities. Fishing
The lakes in and around the Okanagan are a fisherman’s paradise, offering the best in fresh water fishing. The crystal clear lakes, enchanting rivers and streams provide the best flying fishing, spin casting and trolling. Rainbow trout, Gerard trout, Char, and Kokanee entice at every turn.
The lakes east of Oyama, accessed on the Beaver Lake and Dee Lake Roads has long been recognized as one of British Columbia's finest fishing grounds. Set like pearls in the midst of wooded hills of great beauty, and connected by waterways and trails, this group of 20 lakes or more is well stocked with real fighting Kamloops trout. Top among the lakes are Dee Lake, Island Lake, Deer Lake and Crooked Lake. A recreation site, boat launch and campground are located at Island Lake, with a boat launch at Dee Lake, which boasts the largest rainbow trout, to 2 kg. In addition to good fishing in the larger lakes mentioned below, fishing is also good at Ellison Provincial Park on Okanagan Lake.

Mountain Biking
The Okanagan Similkameen area of British Columbia has everything a mountain biker might want. They have trails with speed, plenty of variety, and a climate that is usually dry and hot in the summer.
At world class Silver Star Mountain in Vernon and at Kalmalka Lake Provincial Park is where you will find some of the best mountain biking, not too far from Coral Beach.
Kalmalka Lake Provincial Park is located on College Way off of Highway #97, 10 km south of Vernon.
Silver Star Mountain is located 22 km (12 miles) northeast of Vernon, at the top of the Okanagan Valley. Connect with Highway 97 to Vernon and follow 48th Avenue to Silver Star Road and follow for 22 km (12 miles).

On your way to Coral Beach , make sure to stop off at Brenda Wendell's Fruit Farm. Here you will find the best and juiciest peaches, plums and black berries. Located on Carr's Landing Road .
The Jammery, (link to www.jammery.com) located in Lake Country and along Hwy. 97 is Okanagan's jam haven. There is every type of jam imaginable, from no sugar added jam, jalepeno jams, cranberry jam and even jams with a little liquer. You can visit the Jammery and try their free sample tasting jams. The Jammery also offers a delightful breakfast. This place will please every palate.
